Shift: Full-Time, 40 hrs. M-F Days

Work Location: University of Miami Hospital & Clinics - UHealth Sole Mia Medical Center (North Miami, FL) Interventional Radiology

CORE JOB FUNCTIONS

1. Reviews and evaluates developed x-rays, video tape, or computer-generated information to determine whether images are satisfactory for diagnostic purposes.

2. Takes thorough and accurate patient medical histories.

3. Explains procedures, observes patients to ensure safety and comfort during scan, monitors conditions and reactions, and reports abnormal signs to a physician.

4. Positions and immobilizes patients on examining table.

5. Positions imaging equipment and adjusts controls to set exposure time and distance.

6. Records, processes, and maintains patient data and treatment records, and prepares reports.

7. Sets up examination rooms ensuring that necessary equipment is ready for use.

8. Performs scheduled maintenance and minor emergency repairs on radiographic equipment.

9. Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Associate degree in relevant field required

Certification and Licensing: Refer to department description for applicable certification requirements

Experience: Minimum 1 year of relevant experience required
