Aventura at Oakwood Village is seeking an experienced, dependable, and hands-on Director of Environmental Services to lead our environmental services operations and ensure a clean, safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our residents, families, and team members.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous supervisory or management experience in Environmental Services, Housekeeping, Laundry, or Healthcare required.

• Experience working in a senior living, assisted living, skilled nursing, or healthcare environment required

• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

• Knowledge of housekeeping, laundry, sanitation, and infection-prevention practices.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards.

• Ability to train, motivate, and hold team members accountable.

• Professional, dependable, and resident-focused approach.

• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee the daily operations of the Environmental Services, Housekeeping, and Laundry departments.

• Supervise, train, coach, and schedule environmental services team members.

• Ensure all areas of the community are maintained in a clean, sanitary, safe, and orderly condition.

• Establish and maintain housekeeping, laundry, and sanitation standards and procedures.

• Conduct regular inspections of resident rooms, common areas, dining areas, and other community spaces.

• Monitor inventory levels and manage ordering of cleaning, laundry, and environmental supplies.

• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to environmental services.

• Ensure compliance with applicable health, safety, sanitation, and regulatory requirements.

• Coordinate with Maintenance and other departments to address facility and environmental concerns.

• Respond promptly to resident and family concerns regarding housekeeping, laundry, or cleanliness.

• Develop and maintain departmental schedules and staffing plans.

• Monitor departmental expenses and assist with budget management.

• Promote infection prevention and proper sanitation practices throughout the community.

• Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.

• Foster a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment.
