Full-Time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

Position Summary: The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant works under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide rehabilitative services to residents, helping them regain independence in activities of daily living and functional mobility. Key Responsibilities: Provide direct patient care as outlined in the treatment plan developed by the Occupational Therapist Assist in the implementation of treatment goals and plans Monitor patient progress and report changes to the Occupational Therapist Accurately document treatments and patient responses using facility systems (e.g., Casamba, PointClickCare) Educate residents, families, and staff on therapy goals and home exercise programs Participate in team meetings, care planning, and discharge planning as needed Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations and policies Qualifications: Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program Current COTA license in good standing with the State of California Experience in a skilled nursing or post-acute care setting preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Proficient in documentation software and electronic health records What We Offer: Competitive pay salary range $40-$45 BOE Full benefits and 401(k) plan for full-time employees A positive and supportive team environment Opportunities for growth and continuing education Employee appreciation programs and recognition At Linwood Meadows Care Center, we believe in empowering our team to make a difference every day.
