Quality Engineer

The Fountain Group is currently seeking a Quality Engineer for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Gastonia, NC. Details for the position are as follows:
Pay Rate: $40/hr
W2 Contract: 1 year with possible extension and/or conversion
100% onsite in Gastonia, NC
- Serve as company's quality presence at the supplier.
- Perform hands-on incoming/material inspection and problem solving in a sheet-metal manufacturing environment.
- Inspect supplier-produced parts, determining whether material meets drawings/specifications, documenting defects, and driving RCA/corrective action on rejected shipments.
- Bachelors with 2-3+ years Quality/Manufacturing/Supplier Quality experience.
- Problem solving / RCA - HARD MUST #1. 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone, containment/corrective action, resolving rejected material.
- Material / incoming inspection - HARD MUST #2. Hands-on dimensional/visual inspection of supplied components, disposition/release decisions, nonconforming material.
- Sheet-metal manufacturing - HARD MUST #3. Fabrication processes such as cutting, bending/forming, punching/stamping, welding, finishing, etc.
