Registered Nurse (RN) - PCU

PCU RN Progressive Care Unit

Schedule - Weekend requirement: 8 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule (combination of Fri/Sat/Sun) - Holiday shifts and Charge RN assignments as needed

Assignment Details - Number of beds on unit: 24 - Daily census: New unit

Requirements - Minimum 2 years RN experience - Trauma Level I experience required - Travel experience required - Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS - Charting system: Epic - Core clinical skills: - Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation - IV therapy: start/maintain IVs, peripheral/CVL/PICC care, blood product administration - Respiratory: chest tube management, oxygen delivery, non-invasive airway support - Wound care/Wound VAC, isolation precautions

Roles & Responsibilities - Provide direct patient care in a progressive care setting - Monitor and assess patient conditions, reporting changes as necessary - Administer medications and treatments as ordered - Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to provide optimal patient care - Educate patients and families on health management and discharge planning

Compliance / Notes - Documentation due: 2 Fridays before start date - Pre-start modules: 1015 hours total; due 1 week prior to start - Labs: Complete within 4872 hours of signing - Training requirements before start: Infusion pump and glucometer training must be completed by the Sunday prior to start
