System Integration EngineerWe are currently seeking a System Integration Engineer to join our team. This position is responsible for the production and support of SiteScan, WebControl, and Ignition software monitoring solutions. This role acts as part of the main production group who deploy and manage all aspects of the software implementation. The role will also provide technical support for internal groups and end users.ResponsibilitiesSoftware Implementation Work directly with customers to provide software installationsManage equipment lists and the gathering of equipment information for assigned projectsWork with sales to scope and quote projectsAssist with licensing and upgradesParticipate in development of departmental procedures/guidelinesSoftware Development Participate in template creation for Vertiv and third-party equipment such as Cooling, Power, Environmental and other equipment common to monitoring.Participate in meetings for new devices to be monitoredManage the template librariesAssist with testing and development for new software releasesTrack and resolve any field issues related to developmentSoftware Support Create and maintain any technical support documentation related to the Environet productsProvide Domestic and International Technical Assistance as an escalation contactContinuous Improvement Provide feedback to product management groupAttend re-occurring meetingsAttend new product and self-development training classesStay familiar with new products/environments that may affect product operation to include new revisions, updates, upgrades, etc.Other duties or projects as assignedQualificationsBS CS – preferred Or similar Computer Science/ degree, or equivalent training and experience in the following areas: Interacting with customers in a technical roleWorking directly with hardware and/or software systems in data center or other high-availability environmentsMinimum four years equivalent industry experience in one or more of the following: BMS systemsElectronic Monitoring systemsProtocols and integrationComputer based networksDatabase AdministrationSoftware supportMinimum three years-experience interacting with customers in a support role required, technical support experience preferredExcellent technical knowledge of Vertiv Monitoring products and services or similar monitoring systems is requiredEffective troubleshooting skills and resolution documentationStrong knowledge of PCs and Operating Systems: Windows 10, Server 2016 and current systemsProficient in all Microsoft Office products, especially MS Outlook, Excel and SharepointFirm understanding of Data Communications Processes, including: Network devices LANs, WANSVPNs, RDP, WebEx and other remote access toolsFirm understanding of key protocols: Modbus, RS232, RS422, RS485, ARCnet, BACnet, Modbus, LON,SNMP and other network protocols.Experience with schematics and wiring diagramsExcellent writing and verbal communication skillsExcellent organizational and time management skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesPossess a positive attitude and flexibility in a rapidly changing environmentAbility to manage multiple projects/issues simultaneouslyProperly interact with all levels in the organization, and with the customerConscientious, accurate, detail oriented, and self-motivatedAbility to work without direct supervisionPhysical & Environmental DemandsNo Special Physical RequirementsWorking ConditionsReactive, fast paced environmentProfessional office environmentAvailable for travel in event of emergencies
