IQC Inspector 3

Incoming quality control inspector responsible for dimensional and visual inspections of purchased parts, assemblies, and products using metrology equipment. Position requires documentation of inspection results, communication with engineers, and maintenance of material traceability prior to manufacturing release.

Responsibilities

• Perform first article inspections to qualify new tooling and parts
• Conduct dimensional and visual inspections of purchased materials and assemblies against specifications
• Document inspection results and create non-conformance reports for failed parts
• Maintain component traceability and manage material transactions in inventory system
• Communicate inspection findings to engineering and manufacturing teams

Requirements

• Operate standard metrology equipment: calipers, height gauges, micrometers, bore gauges, dial indicators
• Interpret mechanical drawings and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
• Minimum 3 years related inspection or quality control experience
• High school diploma; associate degree in engineering preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
• Ability to lift minimum 25 pounds regularly
