\n The Department of Family Medicine at the University of Vermont Larner College of Medicine and The University of Vermont Health is seeking a board-certified/eligible family physician to join the full-time faculty. This appointment at the University of Vermont will be at the Assistant, Associate, or Professor level (1.0 FTE) in the Clinical Scholar Pathway commensurate with experience. The selected candidate will join a busy and collegial academic program. The position requires clinical focus within well-established medical homes. These Patient-Centered Medical Homes (PCMHs) have also been through a workforce transformation and are practicing and teaching population health management. The position is located at Family Medicine- Milton, which is the residency site for the UVM Family Medicine Residency. Teaching experience is required, and residency core faculty or residency leadership experience is recommended.\n

\n This position will include .20 non-clinical FTE for a core faculty position within the UVM MC Family Medicine Residency Program. Associated job duties as a residency core faculty will include curricular development, resident assessment and advising, resident recruitment, participation in associated residency committees (CCC, PEC, etc.) and curricular oversight in areas of content expertise. In addition, the faculty will be assigned 1 clinical session for core residency precepting in the Family Medicine- Milton Clinic and will be expected to supervise Family Medicine residents in 1:1 clinical sessions and in the faculty’s respective clinical area(s). The position will include .80 clinical FTE, inclusive of the core precepting session.\n

\n Qualifications:
\n

\n
• Board certification as an MD or DO in Family Medicine.
\n
• Additional fellowship training in Family Medicine Obstetrics is recommended.
\n
• A minimum of 80 deliveries is required for initial credentialing for Family Medicine Obstetrics.
\n
• Experience in maternal child health and newborn care.
\n
• Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics (ALSO) certification
\n
• Newborn Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
\n
• Ability to obtain valid and unrestricted medical license in Vermont.
\n
• Strong clinical acumen and diagnostic skills.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
\n
• Commitment to delivering patient-centered care.
\n
• Flexibility and adaptability in primary care medical home and Family Medicine- Obstetrics settings.
\n
• Proficiency in electronic medical record systems.
\n
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
\n
• Ability to balance patient-facing clinical days and administrative duties.
