About the Position

Job Title: CT Tech Profession: Clinical-Allied Specialty: CT Imaging Duration: 20 Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum three (3) years of applicable experience. License: IMEA Rad Tech License Certifications: ARRT (CT), BLS (American Heart Association) Must-Have: - Problem-solving skills - Ability to set priorities and organize work - Excellent interpersonal skills - Flexibility and ability to work well with others - Basic reading, writing, and oral English skills - Strong critical thinking skills using independent judgment in making decisions - Ability to maintain confidentiality - Professional demeanor Description: Perform routine and specialized examinations in the specialty area of CT. Adapt procedures to obtain specific diagnostic and/or therapeutic results. Prepare patients for examinations. This role requires independent judgment to adapt procedures to obtain specific diagnostic results under the direction of a radiologist. Perform procedures in a manner that ensures an accurate and complete examination. Maintain working knowledge of equipment to function in all aspects of CT. Exhibit competency in performing and filming CT radiographic and specialized procedures. Deviate from routines when the patient’s condition requires it or at the request of the radiologist. Be knowledgeable of invasive procedures, sterile tray setup, and assisting radiologists. Order labs and pathology tests, and schedule procedures appropriately. Obtain and document accurate pre and post procedure information as applicable. Follow patient safety goals and maintain quality care throughout the procedure. Demonstrate technical knowledge of equipment operation, including hardware and software. Perform reasonable troubleshooting and observe equipment for safety and maintenance. Report equipment problems through appropriate channels. Maintain a clean work area, check and stock supplies, and verify accessories assigned to that room. Perform support functions of the department to ensure patient expectations and needs are met. Process films and paperwork according to proper procedures to ensure timely reporting to physicians. Coordinate patient flow to ensure efficient patient care. Promptly and accurately complete all fields in the system. Maintain a safe environment for patients and personnel. Demonstrate practical problem-solving approaches to patient moving and handling issues. Promote patient and staff safety through proper use of lift equipment. Assume personal responsibility for training fellow technologists/students and use resources productively. Share knowledge and guide fellow technologists/students with proper protocols and procedures. Display a professional attitude to foster mutual respect and create a productive learning environment.
