Location: St. Joseph's South Hospital, [Riverview, FL] Love to Cook? Turn your passion into purpose! BayCare is looking for Cooks to help provide nutritious meals and help nourish our patients, visitors, and team members every day. Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the preparation of foods according to the standardized recipes, and production methods.
- Ensures high quality using safe, sanitary food handling techniques during preparation, service and storage and daily quality control checks.
- Works multiple production stations and conducts quality control checks on taste, temperature and presentation on patient, cafeteria, and catering foods.
- Trains and orients selected staff on food production along with safety and sanitation practices.
- Leads production in absence of Executive Chef according to facility.
- Performs other duties as necessary.
- Required: 4 years as a Cook / 2 years with high school Diploma or Culinary Diploma
- Preferred: 2 years in Healthcare
- Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Required: ServSafe Manager food safety certification within 1 year of hire.
