Sr. Technical Sales Specialist, Bioproduction Purification & Pharma Analytics (Midwest)

Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a senior technical sales specialist to drive revenue growth by representing scientific instruments and purification solutions to Midwest customers. The role combines field sales expertise with technical advisory responsibilities, requiring deep product knowledge and strong customer relationship management in a remote position with frequent regional travel.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with key accounts across Midwest territory
- Provide technical expertise and solutions guidance throughout the sales cycle
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement sales strategies and customer solutions
- Analyze market trends and competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities
- Deliver technical demonstrations and training to support customer adoption
Requirements
- Master's degree plus 5 years technical sales experience in scientific instrumentation or life sciences
- Deep technical knowledge of assigned product portfolio and laboratory applications
- Demonstrated track record meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong presentation skills explaining complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel 50-75% within assigned territory
- Experience delivering technical demonstrations and customer training
Compensation: $103,000–$153,100 base, plus variable annual bonus
