This is a fully remote role supporting our BioAnalytical Laboratory in Richmond, VA. We welcome applicants from all locations within the US.  

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. 

Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check, which includes a drug screening. 

The working shift for this role is Monday - Friday from ~8AM-5PM.

The Associate Project Manager - Labs liaises with PPD's operational departments, affiliates and sponsors. Supports the identification, evaluation, and resolution of shipments for identified protocols and/or study programs.

We have successfully supported the top 50 pharmaceutical companies and more than 750 biotechs, spanning 2,700 clinical trials across 100+ countries in the last 5 years.

What You'll Do:
• Investigate clinical trial shipments and samples that cannot be clearly identified or routed upon receipt.
• Review available shipment documentation, manifests, and other relevant data to support resolution of shipment, manifest and sample discrepancies.

• Review requests for database imports for accuracy and consistency and provide accurate status information of all pending and completed database imports.
• Implement quality control review procedures to ensure accurate data imports.
• Participate in internal/self-audit of database content, supporting ongoing quality assurance and quality control procedures.
• Perform corrective and preventative action activities and special project activities, as required, to support ongoing quality assurance and quality event outcomes.

Education and Experience Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification
• Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 0 to 2 years’) or equivalent combination of education, training, & experience.

• Good organizational skills with the ability to adapt and adjust to changing priorities and to manage multiple assignments with challenging/conflicting deadlines

• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated experience in identification and resolution of technical problems in a professional environment
• Ability to attain, maintain and apply a working knowledge of applicable procedural documents
• Demonstrated positive attitude, enthusiasm toward work, and the ability to work well with others

• Work is performed in a laboratory and/or a clinical environment with exposure to electrical office equipment.
• Occasional drives to site locations, occasional domestic travel.

• Rare exposure to skin and lung irritants, radiation, toxic materials and hazardous waste.
• Personal protective equipment required such as protective eyewear, garments and gloves.
• Exposure to fluctuating and/or extreme temperatures on rare occasions.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in Virginia is $50,800.00–$67,700.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
