CMM Programmer

Shift: 1st Shift (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM)
Pay: $40-$50/hr DOE

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced CMM Programmer to support the inspection of complex, tight-tolerance aerospace components. This individual will be responsible for developing and optimizing CMM inspection programs, performing first article and in-process inspections, and ensuring compliance with engineering specifications and customer requirements.

The ideal candidate has experience with multiple CMM software platforms and metrology systems, thrives in a precision manufacturing environment, and is comfortable inspecting complex components manufactured from Titanium, Inconel, Aluminum, and other exotic alloys.

Essential Responsibilities

• Develop, edit, and optimize CMM inspection programs.
• Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections on precision machined components.
• Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T (ANSI Y14.5), and customer specifications.
• Configure, calibrate, and troubleshoot CMM equipment.
• Utilize various metrology equipment to verify dimensional accuracy and ensure product quality.
• Work closely with Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing to resolve dimensional and quality-related issues.
• Recommend improvements to inspection methods and measurement processes.
• Maintain inspection documentation and ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Train and support operators on CMM equipment and inspection procedures as needed.
• Promote a safe and organized work environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of CMM Programming experience in a precision manufacturing environment.
• Experience programming using one or more of the following:
• • PC-DMIS
  • Zeiss Calypso
  • Quindos (preferred)
• Experience operating or programming:
• • Romer Arm
  • Optical CMM Systems
• Strong understanding of GD&T (ANSI Y14.5).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and complex blueprints.
• Proficient with inspection equipment including:
• • Micrometers
  • Calipers
  • Height Gages
  • Indicators
  • Bore Gages
  • Thread Gages
  • Additional precision metrology equipment
• Experience inspecting complex, tight-tolerance components manufactured from:
• • Titanium
  • Inconel
  • Aluminum
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Preferred Experience

• Aerospace or Defense manufacturing.
• Zeiss CMMs.
• Experience with complex machined components requiring extremely tight tolerances.
• Exposure to multiple metrology platforms and inspection technologies.
