Registered Nurse - IMC

Location: Portland, ME

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM (Night Shift), 36 hours per week.

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Intermediate Care Unit (IMC). The ideal candidate will provide patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment, handling various medical telemetry and IMC cases. The RN will demonstrate proficiency in managing ventilated patients and participating in a team-oriented approach to healthcare.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the IMC unit.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry strips, respond to patient needs, and provide ventilator management.
• Assist in the care of patients with tracheostomies and other complex medical conditions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement care plans.
• Float to med/surg units as required based on patient care needs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a Medical Telemetry/IMC setting required.
• Current BLS certification is mandatory.
• Experience with ventilators and interpreting telemetry is essential.
• Ability to work as part of a team with great flexibility and communication skills.
