Medical Support AssistantDuties include but are not limited to:Serves as a subject matter expert for community care processes, including scheduling.Coordinates workflow processes of outpatient scheduling for all appointments for designated teams.Makes changes to improve any work delays on an as-needed basis.Monitors team members medical record retrieval attempts and documentation.Ensures all patients are seen within time constraints established by the National Office of Community Care.Collaborates with external Community Care stakeholders in addressing the needs of the Veteran patient, as required to resolve issues.Ensures timely response to patients/caller that potentially have an emergent or urgent care need through prompt identification of problem and referral.Participates in data collection, audits, and program documentation.Keeps assigned team members informed and updated concerning appropriate administration regulations.Formulates reports for integrated teams for process improvement regarding consult timeliness.Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30a.m. to 4:00p.m.Pay: Competitive salary and regular salary increases.
