PositionSummary
TheRetailSecuritySupervisorsupportsretailoperationsbyservinginadualfunctionrolethatcombinesreceptionandsecurityresponsibilitieswithinthelicensedretailfacility.Thispositionisresponsibleformaintainingasafeandsecureenvironmentforemployees,customers,patients,andvisitors;assessingandde-escalatingsituations;respondingtoworkplaceinjuriesandsecurityincidents;andsupportingregulatorycompliancewithinretailoperations.
EssentialDutiesandResponsibilities
- Maintainasecureandcontrolledentranceandexitforthelicensedretailestablishment.
- Serveastheprimaryreceptionpointforcustomers,patients,andvisitors,includinggreetingindividuals,answeringphones,andprovidingauthorizedinformationinaprofessionalmanner.
- Conductcustomerintakeproceduresbyverifyingagethroughscanningvalididentificationanddirectingcustomersthroughinitialpurchasingsteps.
- Issue,document,andmanagevisitorbadgesandensurevisitorsareproperlyescortedwhileonfacilitypremises.
- Enforcefacilityaccessrules,includingdenyingentryorrequestingindividualsleavethepremiseswhenrequiredbypolicy.
- Monitorsurveillancesystemsandsecurityequipmenttoidentifysuspiciousactivityandrespondtoregulatoryrequestsasrequired.
- Performroutineandperiodicchecksofelectronicsecuritysystems,includingalarms,cameras,andaccesscontrolsystems,toensureproperoperation.
- Assessdevelopingsituationsandengagewithcustomers,patients,oremployeestodeescalateconflicts,disturbances,ordisruptivebehaviorinacalmandprofessionalmanner.
- Respondtoalarms,disturbances,injuries,accidents,securityincidents,andemergencysituations.
- Leadinitialresponsetoworkplaceinjuries,includingprovidingFirstAidandAEDsupportandassistingwithincidentdocumentationandfollow-upreporting.
- Initiate,document,andmaintainaccurateincidentreports,witnessstatements,andsecurityrecordsrelatedtosafety,security,orcomplianceevents.
- Coordinatewithemergencyservicesorlawenforcementwhenescalationisrequired.
- Protectcompanyassetsfromtheft,diversion,assault,fire,andothersafetyorsecurityrisks.
- Communicatesecurityconcerns,incidents,andongoingissuesduringshifttransitionstoensurecontinuityofcoverage.
- Maintaincustomerandpatientconfidentialityinaccordancewithapplicableprivacyandsecurityrequirements.
- Applycompanysecurityandsafetyprotocolsconsistentlyindailyoperations.
- Reportcustomer,patient,oremployeeissuestosupervisorystaffandassistwithinvestigationandresolutionasappropriate.
- Maintainorganizationandcleanlinessofsecurity,reception,andmonitoringareas.
- Maintainopen,professionalcommunicationwithmanagement,securitypersonnel,andretailstaff.
