ABOUT US.

Lenawee Christian Ministries provides Christ-centered education, spiritual development, and wellness services to the Lenawee County community, centered around Jesus Christ. The ministry is made up of two operating entities: Lenawee Christian School and the Christian Family Centre, located in Adrian, MI.

• Lenawee Christian School exists in partnership with the family and church to integrate Biblical truth for life with a commitment to glorifying Jesus Christ through academic excellence and spiritual maturity.
• The Christian Family Centre is a world-class fitness and family activity facility that strives to assist families and individuals grow in their physical, social, and spiritual wellness with Jesus Christ being the center. 

POSITION SUMMARY.

The Concessions Coordinator is responsible for organizing and supporting concession operations for home athletic events. This role works closely with volunteers, athletic staff, and food service leadership to ensure concession stands are adequately stocked, staffed, compliant, and prepared to provide a positive experience for students, families, and guests.

The position is primarily focused on inventory management, event preparation, and operational oversight rather than day-to-day food preparation. The role typically requires approximately 3–5 hours per week, with schedules varying based on athletic seasons and event activity.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES.

Volunteer Support

• Support volunteers for home athletic concessions.
• Communicate event schedules, assignments, procedures, and expectations to volunteers.
• Provide training and guidance to ensure volunteers understand food handling, cash handling, and operational procedures.
• Foster a welcoming and positive volunteer experience.

Concession Operations

• Coordinate concession stand operations for home athletic contests and designated school events.
• Develop and maintain procedures for opening, operating, and closing concession stands.
• Ensure concession areas are clean, organized, and ready for operation.
• Support compliance with applicable food service and health department requirements.

Inventory

• Maintain concession inventory in coordination with the Food Service Director.
• Monitor inventory levels and manage stock to minimize spoilage and unnecessary waste.
• Identify cost-effective purchasing opportunities while maintaining quality and availability of products.
• Track inventory usage and communicate purchasing needs proactively.

Financial Stewardship

• Support profitable concession operations through effective inventory management.
• Assist with tracking concession sales, inventory usage, and event-related expenses as assigned.
• Ensure proper handling and accountability of concession-related supplies and resources.

Mission Integration

• Model Christ-centered character, servant leadership, and professionalism in all interactions.
• Foster a welcoming and hospitable environment for students, families, volunteers, visiting teams, and guests.
• Support the mission and values of Lenawee Christian School through excellent service and stewardship.

Other Duties

• Assist with special events and athletic activities as assigned.
• Perform other duties reasonably assigned by the Food Service Director or Athletic Director.

QUALIFICATIONS.

Christian Faith & Character

• Profess and demonstrate a personal commitment to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
• Exhibit a consistent Christian testimony and adherence to biblical principles in personal and professional life.
• Demonstrate spiritual maturity, humility, and a strong commitment to excellence and servant leadership

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience coordinating volunteers, events, food service operations, or customer service preferred.
• Experience working in a school, nonprofit, ministry, or community-based environment preferred.
• Current Food Handler Certification preferred or ability to obtain upon hire.

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to coordinate volunteers and manage multiple event-related tasks.
• Basic inventory management and purchasing skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong customer service mindset and attention to detail.

EMPLOYMENT TERMS.

• This position is classified as part-time, hourly, non-exempt.
• Typical workload averages approximately 3–5 hours per week, with additional hours required during peak athletic seasons and special events.
• Work schedules are primarily driven by home athletic contests and related event schedules.
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of background screening and adherence to the ministry's Statement of Faith and Lifestyle Commitment.
