Medical AssistantMake an impact. Join our growing outpatient clinics, focused on improving the wellbeing of families. We are seeking a mission driven and dedicated Medical Assistant who will focus on the maintenance and logistics of medications and vaccines at each of our clinics as well as work with patients in the communities of Orange County (Fullerton, Anaheim and Orange).Bilingual (English/Spanish)Organizational skills to ensure compliance for the medication rooms across all SJNH Clinics.Willingness to work as part of a collaborative team that includes social workers, physicians, nurse practitioners, and case managers.Provide Medical Assisting support to providers in clinic or on a mobile medical clinic as needed.Assigned location is in Fullerton, however incumbent will work at multiple locations within Orange County, Anaheim/Fullerton, plus mobile clinic sites as needed.We are open Monday - Saturday from 8am to 5pm in Fullerton.We are a collaborative community practice, with locations in Fullerton, Anaheim, Orange, and the High Desert. We believe that everyone should have access to high-quality comprehensive medical care, regardless of their ability to pay. Our health centers use a team-based model of care that includes family medicine, obstetrics, women's health, oral and vision care, preventative and educational health, mental health, patient advocacy, case management, and community health. Most of our patients live below 200% of the Federal Poverty level and are best served in Spanish. Through our origins with St. Joseph Health, we have provided care to low-income families since the 1980s, maintaining a commitment to serving our most vulnerable neighbors with high-quality, nationally recognized care. Our work is rooted in our values of Justice, Excellence, Dignity, and Compassion.Assist medical providers in providing high quality, efficient and service-oriented patient care.Conduct work under the scope of a Medical Assistant.Clearly and efficiently document all patient interactions within their medical record.Assists with patient registration, referrals, scheduling, and exam room turnover.Provide English/Spanish translation for medical providers and patients.Maintain all medication rooms to audit ready standards including appropriate stocking and monitoring for expired medications.Will monitor, assist, and facilitate the logistics of all medications, including those for HIV prevention and treatment.HIV Services Coordination.Coordinate VFC, VFA and other immunizations across all sites. This includes coordination, procuring, transporting, auditing, and meeting reporting requirements.Assist with training and ongoing competencies to medication management and immunization standards.Upholds all HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability) and other regulatory compliance and safety requirements. Remain current on all credentialing requirements.Drive the mobile medical clinic as needed.Pay Range: $23.00 - $26.16 per hourMedical (Blue Shield Trio & PPO)Dental (Guardian PPO)Vision (Guardian PPO)FSA - Pre-tax benefit for health care expensesFSA Dependent Care - Pre-tax benefit to put toward childcare or other dependent expensesMental Health - Employee Assistance Program & access to meditation resources through CalmAccrue.096 hours of PTO for every hour worked.
