Facilities Maintenance Coordinator

Description Summary/Objective The Facilities Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for day-to-day activities of facilities and maintenance management. This position directly oversees all tasks related to maintenance and general upkeep of facilities. The position understands safe general building maintenance including plumbing, carpentry and electrical systems and is comfortable with the use of tools required to maintain facilities. • Directly responsible for the overall safety, maintenance and upkeep of facilities and
equipment.
• Oversee preventative maintenance and repair work of outside vendors and other
contractors.
• Manage and develop a scheduled facility maintenance and improvement plan to include short term and long-term planning objectives (including submission of budget proposal to support such projects).
• Conduct scheduled location inspections, and work with Site Manager to assess and prioritize maintenance and safety compliance issues.
• Responsible for ensuring the Center is in full compliance with all agency contracts including OSHA.
• Make recommendations to remedy any hazardous conditions, practices or loss-causing circumstances to comply with codes, standards and contracts. • Meet regularly with Director of Ancillary Operations. Communicate and distribute
recommendations, safety, hazardous-preventing and loss control information to team members. • Manage the screening, evaluation, and selection of external contracted vendors such as: landscapers, plumbers, electricians, cleaning and floor care, roofers, locksmiths, furniture dealers, IT vendors, audio-visual equipment, and general office equipment vendors.
• Inspect buildings and perform maintenance and repairs and/or special cleaning
projects/duties.
• Obtain bids from vendors as needed and make recommendations to the Director of Ancillary Operations or Site Manager.
• Manage building supply and tool inventories.
• Manage asset and storage inventory.
• Responds to changes in schedule to avoid delay in providing equipment and overstock of inventories.
• Transfer supplies from one location to another when needed.

Physical Demands This position involves frequent bending, standing, kneeling, climbing ladders, and reach below and above shoulders, and lifting objects weighing up to 75 lbs. Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This is a part-time, non-exempt position. Days and hours of work will vary between the hours of Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 8 p.m. Some weekend work may be required on an as needed basis. Travel Travel between sites is expected for this position. Education and Experience 1. Minimum four years of facilities maintenance, or related experience
