Bookkeeper Tax Preparer

Job Description

Gillette Law Office, PC, in Redfield, SD, is seeking a full-time Bookkeeper/Tax Preparer to join our team. This position involves bookkeeping for clients, preparing individual and business tax returns, and assisting with basic accounting tasks.

Salary is dependent upon experience. Benefits: Single Health Insurance Group Plan, SIMPLE retirement plan, $125 per month of medical payment benefits, $50,000 of group life insurance and paid vacation.

Duties Include:
• Entering 1040 Personal Income Tax Returns which contain Schedule F, Schedule C, and Depreciation Schedules using ProSeries Tax Software.
• Providing bookkeeping services to clients using QuickBooks.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications: Prior experience with QuickBooks
• Prior experience with income tax preparation
• Prior experience with ProSeries Tax Software
• Knowledge of payroll and sales tax reporting
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Experience keeping books for farmers or businesses;
• Degree with coursework in accounting is preferred.
