Registered Nurse (RN), Variable Part-Time Night Shift, NICU

Overview Shady Grove Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the NICU Department who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing. Responsibilities Educate patients and family through the continuum of care while also advancing their own knowledge and skills through feedback from more senior nurses and the Clinical Nurse Manager. Serve as role models to Level I nurses and use electronic resources to support best practices in patient care. Demonstrate professionalism, adhere to ANA standards of practice, and exemplify Adventist HealthCare values in fulfilling our nursing mission and vision. Use equipment and technology correctly, delegate non-nursing duties appropriately, and maximize efficiency and effectiveness. Develop a plan of care according to patient population. Identify changes in patient condition and initiate corrective action. Mentor students, colleagues, and team members in patient-centered care. Conduct purposeful rounding from patient and family perspective. Conduct literature searches and apply findings appropriately to practice. Identify opportunities for improvement in clinical care and participate in changes of practice based on evidence. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited nursing program Passing score on NCLEX Minimum 1 year of RN experience required Current Maryland State nursing license Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required ACLS, PALS, NRP as required by specialty area Work Schedule Employment Type: Variable Part-time Hours per Week: 24 hrs/week Typical Daily Schedule: Two 12hr night shifts per 4 week schedule Shift Type: Night Weekend Requirements: Required Holiday Requirements: Follow company holiday calendar Shift Differential Eligible: Yes Pay and Benefits Pay Range: $37.00 - $55.00 If the salary range is not displayed or if the position is Per Diem (with a fixed rate), salary discussions will take place during the screening process.
