Schedule: Monday–Friday (flexible shifts: 8:00 AM–4:00 PM, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM, or 10:00 AM–6:00 PM)
No weekends required
About the Role
We are seeking a friendly, professional Patient Service Representative to join one of the largest healthcare networks on Long Island. This is a front-facing role where you will serve as the first point of contact for patients—setting the tone for a positive and welcoming experience.

Key Responsibilities
- Greet and check in patients with a warm, welcoming attitude
- Answer inbound calls and assist with scheduling appointments
- Coordinate and schedule lab tests, follow-ups, and procedures
- Verify patient insurance and communicate with insurance providers
- Manage patient check-out, including scheduling next appointments
- Scan and upload medical documents into the system
- Maintain accurate patient records within EMR systems
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and clinical staff
Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a healthcare front desk, medical receptionist, or patient service role (internal medicine preferred)
- Experience interacting with patients and insurance companies
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Experience with:
- Scheduling appointments
- Insurance verification
- Patient check-in and check-out processes
Preferred:
- Cardiology experience
- Familiarity with EMR systems
- Experience handling medical documentation and patient records

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Massapequa, NY.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
