Get to know us: About - Gesa Credit UnionRole Summary:The IT Auditor supports the Internal Audit department by independently planning and executing information technology audits and related advisory reviews. This role evaluates the adequacy and effectiveness of IT controls, assesses technology-related risks, and provides objective assurance and recommendations to management. The IT Auditor applies risk-based audit methodologies, demonstrates strong project management skills, and communicates audit results clearly and professionally to stakeholders.What You Will Be Doing:Plan, execute, and document IT audit engagements in accordance with Internal Audit standards and departmental methodologyPerform IT risk assessments to identify and prioritize areas of technology, cybersecurity, system, and data risk to support audit planning activitiesIdentify, evaluate, and test the design and operating effectiveness of IT general controls and application controlsDevelop and execute audit testing procedures to evaluate control adequacy and effectiveness, analyze results, and develop well-supported conclusionsDevelop clear, concise audit workpapers that support findings, conclusions, and recommendationsCommunicate audit objectives, status, and results effectively with audit leadership and business partnersPrepare written audit reports that clearly articulate the overall management of risks, issues, root causes, and actionable recommendationsTrack and validate management action plans and remediation effortsApply project management principles to manage multiple audit assignments simultaneously, meeting established timelines and quality expectationsMaintain awareness of emerging technology risks, regulatory expectations, and industry best practices relevant to IT auditingConsistently demonstrate professionalism, sound judgment, and strong verbal and written communication skills to provide a positive client experience while building relationships throughout the organizationAbout You:Strong understanding of IT controls, risk assessment methodologies, and audit techniquesDemonstrated project management skills with the ability to plan, organize, and execute audit engagementsAbility to identify control gaps and assess risk impacts in a practical, business-focused mannerStrong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex concepts clearlyAbility to analyze information, exercise professional skepticism, and apply sound judgmentProficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively within a team environmentHigh level of personal integrity and commitment to confidentiality and ethical standardsWhat You Will Need:Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field preferred or equivalent experience would be accepted in lieu of a degreeMinimum of two (2) years of experience in financial services internal audit, IT audit, risk management, or a related discipline requiredMinimum of two (2) years of experience with risk assessment, control identification, and audit testing requiredOur Team Member Value Proposition:In exchange for bringing your talent to Gesa, here are a just a few of the benefits and perks we offer:Competitive PayMedical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance 20 days/year of Paid Time Off – Plus 10 Paid Holidays!401(k) MatchIncentive ProgramTuition Assistance and Student Loan RepaymentCommuter BenefitsPaid Time Off to Volunteer in the CommunityProduct discountsEngaging Work EnvironmentRewards and Recognition ProgramsFull Salary Range:$29.90-$49.83*While our full pay range is listed, most new team members typically start between the minimum and midpoint based on their experience and qualifications.
