Cat Scan Technician (CT)

CT Tech (CT Tech) at Haywood Regional Medical Center Schedule Saturday and Sunday 7:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m., Monday 8:30 a.m.–9:00 a.m. with call rotation. Commitment Bonus $10,000 Commitment Bonus with a 2-year commitment. Responsibilities Review patient history and physician orders. Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure understanding and cooperation. When ordered, prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice. Monitor patient condition continually and report/respond to changes in status as appropriate. Prepare equipment and supplies. Implement safety standards and perform appropriate quality control procedures on equipment. Troubleshoot, resolve, and/or report equipment malfunctions as necessary. Position patient and perform imaging procedure(s). Analyze results and identify issues with the quality of imaging results. Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patient and repeating procedure. Qualifications 2-year certificate, associate degree, or bachelor's degree and current ARRT registration. Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire.
