Technology Specialist in Video Compression

Job Overview A law firm seeks a Technology Specialist in Video Compression for its Boston, MA office. This role is integral to the Intellectual Property practice, offering the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and top-tier clients. Duties and Responsibilities Draft patent applications, including descriptions and figures. Correspond with the patent office regarding pending applications. Advise patent litigation teams based on technical expertise. Interview inventors about new ideas. Requirements Strong background in video compression technologies. Experience with standard-essential patents related to video coding standards (preferred). Advanced degree in computer science or electrical engineering, or equivalent experience. 2+ years of patent prosecution experience. Superior writing skills and excellent academic credentials. Registered before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office. Education Advanced degree in computer science or electrical engineering. Certifications Registration with the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office. Skills Expertise in video compression technologies. Strong patent drafting and prosecution skills. Excellent communication and analytical skills. Benefits Flexible hybrid work environment.
