Electrical Project Estimator

Job Summary Our client is seeking a professional Project Estimator to join their team in Salt Lake City, UT. This on-site role requires a minimum of five years of construction estimating experience and a mastery of blueprints and technical documents. You will lead the financial analysis of diverse projects, ensuring accuracy in labor and material costs while fostering vital vendor relationships. Location: Salt Lake City, Utah Job Type: Permanent Salary: $100,000 - $120,000 per year Work Hours: 8am to 4pm Education: Associates Responsibilities Analyze project plans, specifications, and contract documents to define the overall scope and identify project requirements. Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, and subcontractors while identifying value‑engineering opportunities. Source and negotiate competitive quotes from suppliers and maintain strong professional relationships with subcontractors. Collaborate with project managers and field leadership during preconstruction handoffs to ensure accurate budget execution. Qualifications At least 5 years of project estimating experience. Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., McCormick, EBM) and the ability to read blueprints. In‑depth understanding of construction principles, cost accounting, and contract negotiation. College degree preferred but not required. Detail‑oriented self‑starter with strong mathematical and analytical problem‑solving skills. Associates degree.
