About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) to spearhead the establishment of a new 15-bed acute care facility. The CNO will be instrumental in defining and implementing operational standards, ensuring data-driven improvement, and upholding safety and advocacy in line with professional standards. This role also involves regulatory oversight, total clinical budgeting, and talent management to foster a performance culture. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in nursing, a Master's degree in a related field, and a minimum of 3 years' of direct patient care experience in an acute care setting, with a preference for critical care experience. A strong background in management, particularly in a startup or rural healthcare environment, is highly valued. The successful CNO will be a strategic leader, working with the Board and senior management to set a vision for growth and clinical improvement. They must be adept at change management, with a proven ability to engage the medical staff and the community. The role requires a candidate with excellent communication skills, the ability to build rapport at all levels, and a strong customer orientation. Proficiency in PC skills is essential, as is the capacity to handle high-volume workloads and tight deadlines. The CNO will be expected to be a champion for quality patient care, continuously measuring and reporting on quality results, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
