JOB SUMMARY

The Maintenance Technician C will perform duties to install and maintain production machines and equipment

2nd shift: M-F 3p-11p overtime and weekends as needed

ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during service

• Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines

• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments

• Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities

• Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions as necessary

• Demonstrate ability to troubleshoot and repair motor circuits, which includes simple electrical control circuits

• Test electric motors for opens and shorts

• Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties

• Follow LOTO procedures for machines/equipment

• Regular and timely attendance required

• Notify supervision of needed repairs

• Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping

• Additional duties may be assigned by management

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• Three years of industrial maintenance mechanic experience, including but not limited to: diagnosing and troubleshooting; preventative maintenance; lockout/tagout procedures.

• Must have high school diploma or GED

• Multi-Craft Industrial experience: mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic

• Must have good working knowledge of preventative maintenance techniques, work order systems, equipment lubrication standards and industrial safety standards

• Highly motivated and able to work independently

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

To successfully perform the essential functions of this role it requires the ability to: stand occasionally, walk frequently, frequent use of hands (reach with hands and arms), view computer monitor, use telephone, speak and listen frequently.
