Locums Family Medicine Physician

We are seeking a Locums Family Medicine Physician for an outpatient primary care opportunity in Franklin, Virginia. This position offers a predictable weekday schedule with no call or weekend responsibilities.
Position Highlights
Coverage Dates: September 21, 2026 – December 18, 2026
Schedule: Monday–Wednesday, 8:00 AM–2:00 PM
No weekends
No call
10–16 patients per day
Outpatient primary care only
No trauma responsibilities
EMR: Epic
Patient Population
51% Adult
48% Geriatric
1% Pediatric
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive outpatient Family Medicine care.
Evaluate and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
Provide preventive care and health maintenance.
Perform routine primary care procedures, including Pap smears and diabetic foot exams.
Manage diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and other common chronic conditions.
Order and interpret diagnostic testing as appropriate.
Provide patient education and counseling.
Coordinate specialty referrals when needed.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic.
Qualifications
Board Certified Family Medicine Physician
Active Virginia medical license required
Current DEA
BLS and ACLS required
