About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: MS/Tele Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year in MS/Tele License: State RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - 1 year of EPIC experience - Previous charge experience Description: Shift: 3x12 or 4x12 Nights from 19:00 to 07:30. Weekend coverage is every other weekend, but may change based on needs. Floating to other like units or nearby facilities is required. Must have at least 1 year of experience in the MS/Tele field. The unit is currently not reviewing first-time travelers. Patient ratios are 5:1 for days, nights, and weekends. Daily census ranges from 20 to 30 patients. The unit has 29 beds. Interdisciplinary support includes Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Lift Teams, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, and Transportation. Patient diagnoses may include respiratory failure, COPD, respiratory distress, pneumonia, pulmonary edema, hypoxia, shortness of breath, sepsis, UTI, CHF, hypo/hyperglycemia, and weakness/debility. Floating is required to other units within the organization as needed. Staff will only float to units they are qualified for and tasks for which competencies have been documented. Travelers must have a minimum of 1 year experience with EPIC EMR. Modules are required for all travelers to complete prior to starting the assignment. Time spent on modules is billable, up to 16 hours. Completion of pre-assignment testing is required within 48 hours after login information is received.
