You bring the dishes that the chef creates to life. The chef relies on you to "get it right" and you take pride in making it happen. The bustle and sometimes intensity of the kitchen energizes you. You understand the importance of staying within budget and know exactly how much to prep. You also understand that cleanliness in the kitchen and safe food handling is key. Duties:
- Bring the recipes you read to life by accurately reading & following the instructions
- Communicate effectively with all sorts of interesting people
- Cultivate an authentic food experience for our residents by bringing your creativity to the creation of distinctive dishes

Qualifications:
- Minimum one year experience as a cook in a hotel, restaurant, club or similar company
- Ability to plan and organize work, to interpret instructions, recipes, specifications and standards
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment operations and maintenance. Some knowledge of nutrition and diet
- Culinary education preferred
- Prior to beginning work at our community, applicants must complete and pass a drug screening, physical exam with tuberculosis (TB) skin test, and criminal clearance through FBI and Department of Justice (over 18 only). The background search includes minor misdemeanors and DUIs.
