Control Panel Assembly Technician

Responsibilities Assemble electrical control panels, junction boxes, and wire harnesses for industrial equipment. Fabricate controls according to specifications, including layout, physical mounting of components to the back panel, and wiring of all components. Determine dimension and layout of back panels and enclosures. Mount components to back panels and enclosures. Route and bundle wire and cables neatly to meet wiring standards. Point‑to‑point wiring of relays, controls, PLCs, I/O modules, VFDs, interfaces, and instrumentation. Troubleshoot panels as needed to eliminate wiring errors and component malfunctions. Maintain red line drawing mark‑ups of changes required during fabrication. Communicate red line changes to engineers or team leaders for revision prior to completion. Work in a warehouse‑type environment; full‑time, Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.; overtime may be required as job duties demand. Qualifications HS Diploma or GED. 2‑year technical degree in a related discipline preferred. 1+ years’ experience assembling electrical panels preferred. Must be able to read control system wiring diagrams, read and write English, follow verbal instructions, use simple math, interpret documents, convert metric to standard measurements, and convert degrees to inches. Working knowledge of electrical theory, terminology, electrical schematics; proficient in the use of measuring equipment, levels, squares, and various hand tools.
