Industrial Maintenance Technician
Location: Asheville , NC area
Pay: $30–$33/hour
Job Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire
About the OpportunityA well-established and growing manufacturing company in the Arden, NC area is looking for an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to join its maintenance team. This is a direct-hire opportunity offering competitive pay, strong benefits, profit sharing, and opportunities to continue developing your electrical and automation skills.
The ideal candidate has a strong multicraft industrial maintenance background with experience troubleshooting both mechanical and electrical equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
What You’ll DoTroubleshoot and repair production equipment to minimize downtime
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on automated machinery
Troubleshoot PLCs, VFDs, servo systems, motors, relays, and electrical controls
Diagnose and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Work with CNC and other automated manufacturing equipment
Read and troubleshoot electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
Perform basic welding, fabrication, and equipment modifications as needed
Assist with machinery installation, removal, and facility maintenance
Follow proper lockout/tagout and safe maintenance procedures
Participate in occasional overtime and rotational weekend coverage
5+ years of industrial maintenance experience preferred
Strong electrical troubleshooting skills
Experience troubleshooting PLCs ; Allen-Bradley and/or FANUC experience is a plus
Experience with VFDs, servos, motors, and AC/DC electrical systems
Mechanical experience with hydraulics and pneumatics
CNC troubleshooting or maintenance experience strongly preferred
Ability to read electrical schematics and use electrical testing equipment
Welding and fabrication experience is a plus
Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Engineering Technology, or a related field is preferred, but equivalent hands-on experience will be considered
$28–$33/hour , depending on experience
