DevOps Engineer [Remote]

Role Overview

Help shape next-generation AI systems by applying hands-on DevOps expertise to realistic, production-style cloud infrastructure challenges. You will create and evaluate high-quality technical work involving automation, infrastructure as code, continuous delivery, reliability, and incident response. Prior AI experience is not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Design realistic DevOps tasks based on CI/CD, containers, orchestration, infrastructure as code, monitoring, and incident-response scenarios.
• Create working reference solutions with clear setup and validation instructions.
• Review AI-generated technical output, identify failures, and provide precise, reasoned corrections.
• Maintain high standards for technical correctness and reproducibility.
• Share structured feedback that improves future task design and model performance.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of professional experience in DevOps, SRE, platform engineering, or infrastructure engineering.
• Strong coding ability in Python, Go, Bash, or TypeScript. This role requires production-capable coding skills, not scripting alone.
• Practical experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins; Docker; Kubernetes; and at least one major cloud platform, AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Infrastructure as code experience with Terraform, Ansible, Pulumi, or CloudFormation.
• Advanced Linux and Git knowledge.
• Professional written and spoken English communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or OpenTelemetry.
• Background in security, secrets management, or platform reliability.
• Open-source contributions or technical writing experience.
• Previous work on AI training data or model evaluation.

Work Terms

• Remote, contract engagement.
• Availability of at least 20 hours per week is required.

Compensation

$50 to $100 per hour.
