Why join us Excellent Benefits Profit Sharing 401k Competitive Compensation Position Overview We are currently seeking a dynamic and dedicated Employment Litigation Associate to join our team. This is a permanent position that offers an exciting opportunity to work on a wide variety of employment litigation cases. The successful candidate will have a solid background in civil litigation, with a focus on employment law. They will also have extensive experience in case handling, drafting and responding to discovery, defending depositions, managing discovery, taking depositions, arguing motions, and participating in mediations. The candidate must be admitted in DC and Maryland. Responsibilities Representing clients in all stages of employment litigation, including pre-litigation, discovery, motions, trials, and appeals. Drafting and responding to discovery requests. Drafting and arguing motions. Defending and taking depositions. Managing discovery and preparing cases for trial. Participating in mediations and settlement negotiations. Providing advice and counsel to clients regarding state and federal employment laws. Keeping up to date with developments in employment law and advising clients accordingly. Collaborating with other attorneys in the firm to ensure the best representation for our clients. Qualifications A Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school. Admission to the DC and Maryland bars. A minimum of 3-6 years of experience in civil litigation, with a focus on employment law. Proven experience as a case handling attorney in federal court. Extensive experience in drafting and responding to discovery, drafting and arguing motions, defending depositions, and managing discovery. Proven experience in taking depositions, arguing motions, and participating in mediations. A thorough understanding of state and federal employment laws. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. The ability to manage a large caseload and work independently.
