They provide inpatient and outpatient clinical services. They will work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients and their families.Job Duties and Responsibilities:Provide prenatal counseling, education, and care for pregnant womenDiagnose and monitor conditions such as multiple births, preterm births, gestational diabetes, preterm labor, and high blood pressurePerform fetal interventions when necessaryCollaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient carePerform diagnostic tests, fetal ultrasound studies, and interpret resultsCounsel patients and their families on healthcare options and potential risksDevelop and implement treatment plans for patientsParticipate in departmental and divisional conferences, committees, and quality improvement process. Along with participate in research projects to improve patient outcomesAssist with the teaching of medical students and residentsOther duties may be assignedPhysical and Sensory Requirements:Sit up to 2 hours per day, 1 hour at a time. Stand for up to 8 hours per day, 4 hours at a time. Walk 6 hours per day, 10 minutes at a time. Consistently lift, push and carry objects up to 10 lbs. Frequently lift, carry and push objects up to 75 lbs. Transport patients weighing up to 400 lbs. via wheelchair, bed and/or stretcher with assistance when appropriate. Consistently pull up to 10 lbs. Frequently pull up to 250 lbs. with assistance when appropriate. Frequently stoop, bend, crouch, kneel and climb. Frequently reach above shoulder level. Occasional crawling. Must be able to perceive attributes of an object through touch. Frequently finger and handle objects. Occasionally firmly grasp, twist, turn objects with hands and fingers. Must be able to hear as it relates to normal conversation, high and low frequencies. Must be able to see as it relate to general, near, far, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and visual monotony (e.g., computer screen).Education:Include any specific licenses and/or certifications and/or registrations that are required or preferred.M.D. or D.O. requiredBoard Certification or eligible in Maternal Fetal Medicine requiredMedical License for the applicable state requiredTraining and Experience:Must have completed an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)/AOA-accredited residency training program in Obstetrics and Gynecology requiredCompletion of an approved Maternal Fetal Medicine fellowship program requiredSkills: Language, Mathematical Reasoning ability needed.Please complete your application using your full legal name and current home address.
