Direct Support Professional

Shift Details:

Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM to 5:30 PM

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED minimum.
• Valid North Carolina Driver’s License.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance and supervision to clients during personal care activities, including dressing, bathing, and toileting, ensuring their comfort and dignity.
• Support clients during mealtimes, promoting family-style dining and encouraging independence.
• Oversee housekeeping tasks such as clothing care, house cleaning, and yard maintenance to maintain a safe and clean living environment.
• Assist clients in meal preparation and administration of nutritional supplements.
• Administer prescribed medications accurately and responsibly, following all safety protocols.
• Implement prescribed dietary plans and ensure the effective use of adaptive equipment.
• Follow and enforce established behavior programs, maintain accurate data collection, and adhere to safety guidelines.
• Support clients in active treatment plans, including training objectives, data recording, and achieving service goals.
• Collaborate as an active member of the interdisciplinary team, communicating relevant client information to supervisory staff.
• Transport and supervise clients safely in company vehicles as required.
• Accompany and support clients during community outings and participation in school and day program activities.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to contribute to the overall success of the program.
