Job Title Bilingual Interpreter Translator Location Parkland Middle School, Grades 6‑8 Reports to Building Principal Certification Current and valid Paraprofessional License Term of Employment 180 days – full time, Monday‑Friday Start Date 2026‑2027 School Year Minimum Qualifications / Required Skills Current and valid paraprofessional license; 60 college credit hours or Work Keys Test/other ISBE requirement for obtaining Paraprofessional License. Fluency in Spanish language required in both reading and writing. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely. Responsibilities / Duties Assist teachers, parents, and office by interpreting and translating communications between school and home: may include contacts, conferences, office communications and home visits. Work as a cooperating member of a team and effectively communicate with students, teachers, parents and administration; positive attitude and dependability a must. Communicate effectively both orally and in writing, in English and Spanish. Translate announcements, forms, and notices as directed by the immediate supervisor. Demonstrate an appreciation and understanding of multicultural perspectives in student learning and the school community. Other duties assigned. Pay and Benefits $17.50 / hour.
