About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years minimum License: Valid RN License Certifications: BLS-AHA Certification, NIHSS, ACLS preferred Must-Have: Must be able to pass EKG testing before the start date. Travelers requesting time off during any holiday or holiday week will not be accommodated. Previous charge experience is preferred. Charting system experience is preferred. Description: The role involves working in a cardiac specialty unit. Patients typically include adults and geriatrics with various cardiac diagnoses. Responsibilities include management of cardiac drips, interpretation of dysrhythmias, and post-procedure care. The patient-to-nurse ratio is approximately 1:7-8. May use a team nursing model with ratios greater than 8. Floating to other areas within the healthcare setting or to other facilities within the system may be required. Triage and support for various cardiac conditions, including acute heart failure, arrhythmias, and post-intervention care, are part of the duties. Compliance with infection control protocols and safe medication administration is critical. Candidates must ensure that all certifications and licenses do not expire within 45 days of the start date. Flexibility for weekend shifts is necessary, with a requirement of every other weekend or two weekends per month. A strong understanding of telemetry, heparin protocols, and blood product administration is preferred. This position requires a commitment to high-quality patient care and teamwork.
