Scrum Master - Hybrid

Job Summary Our client is looking for a Scrum Master (hybrid based near LA or NYC) to drive agile delivery across multiple interlocking teams that power login, entitlement, and purchase experiences across all supported Business Units for Digital Products. This isn't a single-team, single-backlog role - you'll coordinate sprint cadences, releases, and dependencies across teams that ship in lockstep, often under hard external deadlines (major sporting events, launches, migrations). You'll also be joining at a moment when AI coding agents are changing how these teams plan and work. We need someone who can facilitate and who understands what's actually happening in the codebase and pipeline well enough to keep ceremonies grounded in reality. Core Responsibilities Run sprint ceremonies (planning, standups, retros, backlog refinement) across multiple Product Engineering teams, keeping cadences aligned when releases touch multiple teams at once Coordinate cross-team production releases and post-release validation across impacted teams - tracking who owns what, chasing confirmations, and unblocking dependency chains in real time Own JIRA/epic hygiene: correctly structured epics and children, and clean handoffs between engineering, QA, and product Facilitate feature-flag rollout coordination and staged testing windows across assigned teams Surface and help resolve blockers spanning GitHub access, environment availability, and QA/SDET coordination Track and report sprint health, release risk, and delivery metrics to Product Engineering leadership Help teams adapt agile practices as AI coding agents change the unit of work Required Skills/Experience (Must-Haves) 4+ years as a Scrum Master Familiarity with Jira Experience working in a dynamic environment, supporting multiple projects across various teams Knowledge of APIs, payment processing, subscription management Knowledge of the latest AI tools Preferred Skills/Experience (Nice-to-Haves) Familiarity with plan subscription/commerce systems or identity/auth systems Experience scrum-mastering through live, high-traffic events (majors sporting tournaments, breaking news cycles) where release windows are inflexible Key Competencies & Behaviors Cross-Functional Coordination Proactive Problem Solving Agile Facilitation & Continuous Improvement Work Environment Location: Los Angeles or NYC (2 days) Compensation & Benefits Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $55.00 and $60.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location.
