About This Role
O'Connor's Carpet One is a growing flooring company specializing in residential and commercial flooring solutions. We pride ourselves on quality workmanship, excellent customer service, and attention to detail. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Flooring Measure Technician to join our team
What You'll Do- Visit customer homes and job sites to measure areas for flooring installation
- Accurately calculate material quantities for carpet, hardwood, laminate, vinyl, and tile projects
- Communicate professionally with customers during appointments
- Identify potential installation challenges and note site conditions
- Prepare detailed measurement reports and layouts
- Coordinate with sales staff and installers to ensure project accuracy
- Maintain scheduling and timely completion of appointments
- Previous flooring, construction, or measuring experience preferred
- Strong math and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read floor plans and use measuring tools
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Experience using flooring estimating software
- Knowledge of flooring products and installation methods
- Basic computer and tablet proficiency
