CDL B - Truck Driver

Overview Richards Building Supply Co. is seeking a CDL Class B Driver for our Michigan City, IN location. Candidates with either a CDL Class A or CDL Class B license with Air Brake Endorsement will be considered. Flatbed with moffett and/or boom truck experience is desired, but training is available. Opportunity for overtime on Saturdays as needed. Responsibilities Safely deliver products to job sites and physically unload material per customer requests. Receive materials in the warehouse, load trucks, and process inventory. Requirements & Qualifications CDL Class B with Air Brake Endorsement or CDL Class A driver’s license 1 year CDL Class B driving experience or 2 years CDL Class A driving experience Flatbed with moffett and/or boom truck experience desired, but training available Ability to drive a manual transmission Current DOT medical card Clean driving record Must be at least 23 years of age Heavy lifting experience Must pass background check and pre-employment DOT drug screen Physical & Work Requirements Must be able to continually lift 50-100 lbs. of material; some lifting over 100 lbs. required Loading trucks with material for deliveries within DOT weight-securing regulations Unloading trucks and receiving merchandise at the warehouse Move materials from receiving to designated areas Benefits 20 paid days off (includes PTO, Holidays, and Family Focused Company Closure between Christmas and New Year) Bonus incentive program, Holiday bonuses, and other bonus opportunities Competitive hourly rate with strong overtime potential during peak season Flexible hours; home every night; typical schedule Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM Significant employer contributions toward Medical, Dental, Vision, Group Life, and AD&D plans Additional voluntary benefits including Short/Long Term Disability, Accidental Injury, Critical Illness, and Cancer plans, plus extra Life and AD&D policies 401(k) with industry-leading company match Opportunity for career advancement Family-owned, operated, and focused company culture About Richards Building Supply Richards Building Supply is a wholesale building material distributor serving 15 states with over 65 locations.
