Wage Range: $274,000.00 to $299,310.00/year

Number Of Hours/Week: 40 hours/week

Remote/Telecommuting Position: N/A – 100% onsite.

Job Duties:

• Provide direct inpatient medical care for adult patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and coordination of care from admission to discharge.
• Collaborate with nursing staff, specialists, primary care providers, and case management to implement individualized care plan to ensure efficient and safe transitions of care.
• Participate in the education and supervision of medical students and residents, fostering a culture of learning and growth.
• Supervise advanced practice providers as appropriate.
• Participate in daily multidisciplinary rounds and discharge planning.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation of patient encounters in Meditech Expanse (EHR).
• Engage in quality improvement, patient safety initiatives, and participate in departmental meetings and committees.
• Conduct regular rounds to monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Support BMC mission to advance health and wellness for everyone in its community in a welcoming, inclusive, and personalized environment.
• Communicate with patients and staff, verbally and otherwise in a manner that exhibits good professional judgement and is appropriate for the professional setting.

Minimum Requirements: Doctor of Medicine (DM), Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO), or foreign equivalent.

Certificate/License Requirements: Must possess:

• Active Physician License with Massachusetts (MA)
• Active Controlled Substances Registration (MCSR) with MA
• Federal DEA Registration
• Board Cert. or eligibility in Internal Medicine
• BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) Cert.

Special Requirements: Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency in Internal Medicine.
