Key Responsibilities Assist residents with activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility using proper techniques. Administer prescribed medications within scope and document care, medication outcomes, and resident responses. Monitor and record vital signs, collect non-invasive specimens, and communicate health changes to the charge nurse. Support residents' psychosocial needs and encourage participation in wellness and recreational activities. Assist with food preparation, dining, housekeeping, and laundry to ensure a safe and clean environment. Participate in departmental committees and organizational tasks as needed. Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or GED preferred; minimum age 18 preferred. Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care is preferred. Maintain required certifications, complete competency testing, and ongoing continuing education (minimum 12 hours annually). Must obtain and maintain state-specific CNA and medication aide certifications. Strong communication, attention to detail, and compassionate care skills.
