Accountant

Immediate need for an Accountant for a position in the Banking & Financial Industry. This is a 3+ month's contract opportunity with long-term potential located in Plano, TX. Please review the job description below:

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly reconciliations
• Review and reconcile month-end data warehouse reports for respective journal entries
• Reconcile financial information provided by business partners in support of monthly JVs
• Prepare and support monthly variance reports and various other internal reports (streamlining processes/process improvement, automating processes)
• Assist in completing various special projects as requested by management
• Prepare schedules supporting the year-end audit/regulatory audits and tax reporting

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• Must Haves: 3-5+ years of experience in GL accounting
• BA or BS Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration OR related experience
• Strong communicator
• Critical thinker
• Self-motivated
• Team player
• Organized
• Ability to multi-task
• Detail oriented
• Positive attitude
• Comfortable working in a fast paced, dynamic, and changing environment
• Strong Excel user (pivot tables, v-lookups, formulas)
• Strong MS Office skills
• Preferred/ Nice-to-haves: CPA
• Big 4 or public accounting experience
• PeopleSoft experience
• HFM experience
