Respiratory Therapist
Location: Rockport, ME
Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule: Shifts are primarily 10:00 AM to 10:30 PM, with a requirement to cover some night shifts including at least one 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM shift per week.
Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist with a strong patient-centered approach. The ideal candidate will work independently as needed and be responsible for providing comprehensive respiratory care to adult, pediatric, and newborn patients.
Responsibilities:
- Delivering respiratory therapy treatments to patients based on their individual needs.
- Monitoring patient responses to therapy and adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Utilizing advanced respiratory equipment and ensuring optimal functionality.
- Collaborating with medical staff to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Providing education to patients and families regarding respiratory conditions and therapies.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Must possess RRT or CRT certification.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in respiratory therapy is required.
- Certifications in BLS, PALS, and NRP are mandatory.
