Telecommunications Expert for AI Model Training

Provide expert telecommunications guidance to help train and evaluate next-generation AI systems. You will convert real-world telecom knowledge into high-quality training data, evaluations, and feedback that improve model learning, reasoning, and performance. micro1 is the leading AI data lab for training frontier models and evaluating AI agents, and this role contributes to its human intelligence layer by applying domain expertise across telecommunications.

• Analyze and evaluate telecommunications systems and protocols to produce expert input for AI training.
• Document and explain complex telecom concepts clearly for use in AI model development.
• Participate in daily or weekly interactions with AI platforms to keep training materials current and comprehensive.
• Review, assess, and refine AI-generated telecommunications content for accuracy and quality.
• Collaborate with the customer team to identify emerging industry trends and challenges relevant to AI learning objectives.
• Provide written and verbal technical explanations that translate complex information into actionable insights.
• Deliver ongoing expert feedback and evaluations to support the continual evolution of AI capabilities in telecommunications.

• Deep expertise in telecommunications, including systems, protocols, and industry best practices.
• Proven ability to convey intricate concepts in clear, concise language for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience working with or training AI systems, or a strong willingness to learn AI integration in telecom.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to provide analytical feedback on technical material.
• Comfortable collaborating in a remote, cross-functional team setting.
• Experience with documentation, report writing, or technical instruction in telecommunications.
• Preferred: familiarity with machine learning, natural language processing, or AI-driven systems in the telecom sector.
• Preferred: prior experience developing or reviewing training datasets for automation or AI applications.
• Preferred: advanced degree or industry certifications in telecommunications or related fields.

Contractor engagement, performed remotely. The role requires regular interactions with AI platforms on a daily or weekly cadence and collaboration with customer teams to produce and refine training materials, evaluations, and feedback.

Pay range: $20 - $75 per hour.

Open to independent contractors who can work remotely and manage their own contracting arrangements. Candidates must be able to perform contractor work under their own business or contracting setup.
