We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) specializing in Long Term Care (LTC) to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility using safe lifting practices and assistive devices like Hoyer lifts. Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates, accurately documenting all patient information within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times. Provide specialized care for residents with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, implementing memory care techniques to promote comfort and orientation. Assist with medical procedures such as catheter care, phlebotomy (blood draws), and aseptic techniques during treatments to ensure infection control standards are met. Collaborate with nursing staff to develop personalized care plans for residents with complex needs including behavioral health, infectious disease management, or post-acute recovery. Ensure a safe environment by practicing safe manual handling techniques during patient transfers and responding promptly to emergency situations such as Level I Trauma Center or ICU incidents. Experience Prior experience working in long-term care facilities or nursing homes is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs monitoring, and basic life support (BLS) certification is required. Experience working with individuals with disabilities, including developmental disabilities or behavioral health conditions, is advantageous. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Cerner or eClinicalWorks enhances documentation accuracy and workflow efficiency. Background in geriatrics or senior care settings with exposure to dementia or memory care is desirable. Previous hands-on experience in hospital environments such as ICU, emergency medicine, or trauma centers will be considered an asset. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper body mechanics is essential for patient transfer methods and manual handling tasks. 40 HRS a week position MUST BE ABLE TO WORK ANY SHIFT //// NO SET DAYS OFF/// This position works in a hospital, or long term care facility and is responsible for providing direct patient care through the performance of a variety of nursing support tasks in accordance with established methods and procedures. The position may work on rotating shifts and in a variety of care units (e.g., SNF, ICF, medical, surgical, etc.). The position may also provide home care for patients.
