Role Description The Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Boyds, MD. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems for a variety of residential and commercial clients, ensuring safe and efficient operation. Day-to-day tasks include diagnosing system issues, performing preventive maintenance, addressing heating and cooling problems, and supporting basic plumbing-related mechanical work as needed. The technician will interpret technical diagrams, follow safety and regulatory guidelines, maintain accurate service records, and communicate clearly with customers and team members about findings, repairs, and recommendations. The role requires working independently in the field, responding to service calls, and supporting project installations and upgrades. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving HVAC system issues. Candidates should possess practical Plumbing skills related to piping, drainage, and mechanical system connections. Candidates should possess Preventive Maintenance skills to perform regular inspections, tune-ups, and system cleaning. Candidates should possess knowledge of Electricity as it applies to HVAC equipment, including wiring, controls, and safety practices. Candidates should possess EPA certification (or the ability to obtain it) for safe handling of refrigerants and compliance with regulations. Additional beneficial qualifications include prior HVAC field experience, familiarity with local mechanical and building codes, and strong safety awareness. Relevant technical training or certification in HVAC or a related mechanical trade is preferred; a valid driver’s license and ability to work in varying weather conditions are required. #J-18808-Ljbffr
