Title
Pediatric Med-Surg / Hematology-Oncology RN

Schedule
Shift: 12-hour nights, 18:45-07:15
Weekend requirement: every other weekend

Assignment Details
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years pediatric nursing experience required
- BCLS (BLS) certification required
- PALS certification required
- Ability to administer chemotherapy
- Preferred: chemotherapy certification/experience; IV starts and lab draws

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients in a med-surg and hematology-oncology setting.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including chemotherapy.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Educate patients and families about conditions and care plans.

Compliance / Notes
- Orientation: 24 hours of unit orientation; hospital orientation (week 1 classes required)
- Scrubs: Fun/kid tops and navy pants required
